Maryland City WRF (Water Reclamation Facility)

CSI was awarded the contract to perform concrete repairs at the Maryland City Water Reclamation Facility Reactor Tank.
The main portion of the scope included the removal of 32 existing embedded steel wall bearing pads and replacing them with quick-setting concrete patching material.

CSI also performed concrete patching at the top of the reactor tank walls, masonry façade re-pointing, masonry control joint sealant removal and replacement, and miscellaneous concrete stair repairs.

The facility could only allow the two reactor tanks to be shut down for four days each, and at separate times.

CSI worked closely with the Department of Public Works to coordinate the removal and replacement work to efficiently deliver the final finished product before the end of the fourth day when the reactor tanks were successfully returned to service.
