Exterior wall coatings have historically been used primarily for their aesthetic attributes in decorating facades. The advent of concrete facades and the inherent problems that develop over time due to weathering has spawned the development of decorative coatings that retain the aesthetics of conventional coatings, but provide supplemental properties that allow for bridging of small cracks while enabling the building to breathe.
The majority of concrete façade restoration projects involve the preparation and application of elastomeric coatings as the final component of the work.
Given the current economic climate and the movement toward "going green", many building owners have utilized ceiling coatings with high reflective characteristics, which provide the benefits of allowing for the installation of more cost-effective lighting systems while further illuminating their garage structures.
