Galleon Condominiums

June, 2008 - The Galleon is located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The owners engaged Contracting Specialists Inc. for this very time-sensitive project involving Florida Power and Light (FPL).

The scope of work began with FPL disconnecting the power, and the installation of a temporary generator to service the building's needs.

CSI then installed shoring and removed the deteriorated slab section over the FPL Vault. All-new steel was doweled and spliced, and a high early strength concrete was placed to allow for early removal of the shoring, in keeping with the project schedule.

The owners were very pleased to see that CSI completed the project 48 hours earlier than scheduled, thus allowing for acceleration of the other trades involved.
