20 Cabot Boulevard (NEW MASONRY)

CSI was awarded the contract to demolish the existing deteriorated brick veneer, and replace with a new poured concrete topping, at the monumental west stairs of the 20 Cabot Boulevard facility.

Upon completion of demolition, the engineer determined the underlying concrete slab to be deficient, leading to a large change in the scope of the project, entailing the complete demolition of the stairs and their reconstruction.

New foundation walls and a new concrete stair was formed and poured, incorporating decorative brick banding on the landing areas. New painted steel railings were also installed.

The new stairs accent the building and offer a safer and more attractive entrance way for the building's tenants.

This project was completed to the satisfaction of all, during difficult winter conditions, and with minimal impact to the building's occupants.
